At the bank foreign currency exchange can be done through the following methods:
When exchanging foreign currency at the bank, the customer must present an identification document if the amount exceeds 100,000 AMD (or the equivalent in foreign currency). If the amount exceeds 400,000 AMD (or the equivalent in foreign currency) and the buyer is not a bank customer or has no account in that currency, the bank may refuse the exchange.
In the case of any conversion exceeding 20,000,000 AMD (or the equivalent in foreign currency), the transaction is subject to the bank's discretion and can be implement at a rate different from the one announced by the bank. However, this can only be done with the customer's agreement and on a contractual basis.
